Maitejosune Urrechaga   is a South Florida artist working in so many creative areas comic books, music, film. She is perhaps best known as the "better half" of Miami's Pocket Of Lollipops husband and wife outfit where she plays bass and shares vocal duties with her husband drummer. She built her foundation in visual arts through painting and drawing as a child in her parents' garage, and later turned her talents to mixed media, installation, and music.She holds a Master of Science in Art education from Florida International University. As a Musician, Educator, and Artist she delves into the world and combines these spheres for inspiration to expand and stimulate her mind. 


In 2008 she received the Best Art Basel Headline for her Interactive Art Installation in the Miami New Times. In 2012 her song Angry Kittens was selected top 5 out of 50 from BeachedMiami. She has exhibited art at Dorsch Gallery, Frost Museum, Art & Culture Center of Hollywood along with musically performing for several Art Basel satellite events,Girls club, Locust Projects, London Sound of Ebb and The Freedom Tower. She has been an ArtTable member since 2016 and has toured the nation minus 12 states. Maite has been a part of the music and art scene since her teens. She is a punk kid at heart with a love for the avant-garde. She is drawn to the rule breakers and text book makers.
